To keep things simple and at a more affordable I'm teaching my lessons via Skype, Zoom, Messenger. It has actually turned out to be more convenient for my students and myself. I can provide private one on one house calls but my fee would be more. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. My rates are very reasonable. I offer 30, and 60 minute lessons. Lessons available, guitar, bass, ukulele. Some lessons will be followed up with video that will be sent directly to the students to download and review at there convenience. Thanks for looking. Welcome to the Bob Richard Guitar Instruction web page. I’m based in Port Coquitlam BC. I’ve been teaching and playing guitar professionally for 25 plus years. It’s been my passion for as long as I can remember.
I believe anyone can learn to play if they have the right motivation. I think it helps to learn music that you like. No one wants to learn to play a song they would not ever consider buying or listening to. My approach to guitar is simple. Learn the basics and get playing right away.
The more someone starts enjoying to play the quicker they will become efficient at it. I teach all styles of guitar. Rock, metal, blues, country. From beginners to advanced players.
Whatever the individual’s tastes are is usually what they should learn to play. I think, though it is a bit of work, it should be fun as well. When our having fun with it, it comes easily.
